Denmark’s Aarhus is turning seawater into heat: six seawater heat pumps now warm 1,900 homes, drawing up to 1.2 million litres of bay water an hour and producing up to 3.5 times as much heat as the electricity they use, while helping the city phase out wood pellet heating.
